Returns Policy

(1) Introduction

In setting our Returns Policy, we are attempting to be fair to all parties in the transaction. We are dealing here with valuable, irreplaceable works of art. We have never encountered a request for return. People have always been delighted with their purchases.

We make every effort to provide detailed and accurate images and measurements of the artwork on this web site.

We are especially careful to present colours faithfully. It is however impossible for us to control the colour shown on every computer screen, and so therefore it is possible that artwork may be different from what our customers see on their computer screens or if they print from the internet. Flat screen monitors that use non-glare or privacy screens can dull the colour, and in some cases the artwork itself contains nuances of colour that cannot be duplicated on any screen.

We do however understand that from time to time you may wish to return a product to us.

We have created this 30 day returns policy to enable you to return products to us in appropriate circumstances.

This returns policy applies to customers irrespective of your geographical location.

This policy does not affect any statutory rights you may have (such as consumer rights under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000).

(2) Returns

Where you have no other legal right to return a product and receive a refund or exchange, then you will nonetheless be entitled to return a product to us where:

(a) we receive the returned product within 30 days following the date of purchase of the product;

(b) the returned product is unused, in its original condition, with any labels still attached, and otherwise in a condition enabling us to sell the product as new;

(c) you comply with the returns procedure set out below; and

(d) none of the exclusions set out below apply.

(3) Returns procedure

In order to take advantage of your rights under this returns policy, you must receive authorisation from our Customer Service Department.

To request authorization please send an e-mail to: support@gallerywarehouse.co.uk with the following details:

1. Your Order Number,

2. Your First & Last Name

3. The Item Number(s) you want to return

4. The specify reason for return

5. Specify what action you would like us to take for you (i.e. Replacement or Refund?)

6. Wait for our Customer Service team to e-mail you with your Return Authorisation and Instructions.

7. Once authorised to return shipment it must be made within 5 business days after authorisation is granted, properly packed and insured, at your expense. Products returned under this policy must be sent by recorded delivery to:

(4) Exclusions

The following kinds of products may not be returned under this policy:

(a) any Artwork created to your specifications;

(b) gift/discount vouchers.

(5) Refunds

If your return is not due to our error, we will send you a refund for the full price of any product properly returned by you in accordance with the terms of this returns policy (excluding the original delivery charges and excluding the costs of returning the product to us).

If you used a gift certificate to pay for all or part of an item you want to return, that part of your refund will be issued as a new gift certificate reflecting a new total so you may use that balance on a future purchase.

Please note the original expiration date will still apply.

Should you return an order that was placed using a promotional coupon, you will not be refunded for the amount of the coupon, as these discounts were deducted from the original purchase amount.

We will usually refund any money received from you using the same method originally used by you to pay for your purchase.

We will process the refund due to you as soon as possible and, in any event, within 30 days of the day we received your returned product.

The Warehouse Art Galleries will exchange the artwork if we made a mistake in filling the order by sending the wrong artwork.

All Shipping costs will be paid by The Warehouse Art Galleries in the event of an exchange due to an error in filling the order.

(6) Improper returns

Where you return a product in contravention of this policy (and where you do not have any other legal right to return the product):

(a) we will not refund or exchange the product;

(b) we may retain the returned product until you pay to us such additional amount as we may charge for re-delivery of the returned product; and

(c) if we do not receive payment of such additional amount within 14 days of issuing a request for payment, we may destroy or otherwise dispose of the returned product in our sole discretion without any liability to you.

(7) Shipping Damage

Any shipping damage must be reported to The Warehouse Art Galleries immediately (i.e. no later than 48 hours after receipt) at customerservices@gallerywarehouse.co.uk.

No refund will be permitted in the event of damage in shipping as all Artwork is shipped fully insured. The Warehouse Art Galleries will process any damage claim with the carrier on your behalf. In order to receive reimbursement from the carrier, the buyer must satisfy all requirements of the shipper, including but not limited to providing the item and the original packaging for inspection by the carrier, proper identification, and a sales receipt.
